The broad-reaching exhibition At the Same Time, At the Same Place, organized jointly by the Deák17 Gallery and PesText, aims to highlight the diversity of children’s book illustration and book illustration in general, as well as the degree to which the visual appearance of books and the relationship between text and image has changed in the new millennium.
The exhibition of around a hundred illustrations features work by the illustrators of the Transylvanian Hungarian children’s literature periodicals Napsugár and Szivárvány from between 2000 and 2023 that are part of the Coloratura traveling exhibition that has finally come to Hungary. It also presents the Circle Dance anthology of illustrations, a joint Hungarian-Romanian-Slovak effort in the framework of the TIME program.
The event is open to the public.
