DESIGNER NAME: Dóra Abodi

MANUFACTURER NAME: Zakar Clayart Kft.

DESIGNER DESCRIPTION:

ABODI loves to create beautful and timeless things. ABODI is a combination of tradition and innovation and is deeply inspired by the designer’s Transylvanian roots and classic art inspirations. Through its unique creativity, classy yet contemporary style, the brand rapidly seduced demanding international customers.

ABODI's luxury style is a combination of tradition and innovation. ABODI’s signature style can be defined as baroque futurism; fusing classic with modern, contemporary references opposed with dark, magic mythologic vibe derived from Transylvanian family and historic stories.

ABODI’s icon is the TWIN UNISUS, a mystical and powerful creature, a winged unicorn. The Unisus is a unicorn with wings, a hybrid mythologcal animal. The unicorn symbolises something that is highly desirable but difficult to see, find and obtain, an extremely wild creature, beyond mere mythical imagination, being able to communicate with transcendental powers. The Pegasus is a mythical winged divine horse related to Greek Gods. ABODI’s Twin Unisus is the offspring of a Unicorn and a Pegasus, a super magical creature merging the ultimte beauty and power.

Each collection is a new chapter in the TWIN UNISUS EMPIRE and citizens of ABODI Universe are all part of the story: they can be whoever they want, an astronaut, a timetraveller, queen or king of the most spectacular parties, teleportation expert, a dreamer, galactic beauty, mythologic animal, extraterrestial creature, art lover, movie star, popidol or just a neo-romantic adventurer with an addiction to find the ultimate beauty.

After years of learning clay art and long preparation in 2023 ABODI’s artistic concept expanded to ceramic objects embodying the mythical Gods and creatures born in clay and unfolded in fire and colored with custom developed glazes. This new art project will give deeper insight into the fine art concept behind ABODI.

PRODUCT NAME: ABODI Mythical Creatures

PRODUCT DESRIPTION:

Much of Hungarian mythology is believed to be lost. However, in the last hundred years, scholars of the history of Hungarian culture have tried eagerly to recover a significant amount of Hungarian mythology. The most important sources are: folklore, medieval chronicles, secondary sources such as accounts about Hungarians by other authors, archaeological research.

Amongst the modern religions, Hungarian mythology is closest to the cosmology of Uralic peoples.

In Hungarian myth, the world is divided into three spheres: the first is the Upper World (Felső világ), the home of the gods; the second is the Middle World (Középső világ) or world we know, and finally the Underworld (Alsó világ). In the centre of the world stands a tall tree: the World Tree/Tree of Life (Világfa/Életfa).

Sun god: The clay object is a solar deity, having the creator power. The Sun god is part of the Upper World. It represents heaven, kingship, power and light. In Hungarian mythology, God of the sky is the head of the Hungarian pantheon.

Moon God: The clay object is an enigmatic Moon-like God. The Moon god is part of the Upper World, representing night powers, interstellar mysticism, youth, protector of travellers, has healing, cold and clean energy.

Cat God: The clay object is a mystic cat-like God. The Middle World is shared among humans and many mythological creatures; the latter are often supernatural. The Cat god is a ghostly, fairy creature, representing wealth, fertility, pleasure, playfulness, hedonism, lust, also whimsicality.

Mermaid: The clay object is an elusive water spirit who seduces sailors, symbolising free spirit, braveness, sensuality, prophecy, wisdom, art and music.

Animal Soul: The clay object is an animalistic ghostly creature, embodying the free soul of the animals, serving as a wise seer and mediator between humans, animals and gods. The Animal Soul can change its size, colour.
