LOOP – furniture family

The LOOP product family is the result of the cooperation between Árkossy Bútor and designer Máté Horváth. The furniture family is 100% Hungarian, it is suitable for quantity production, has a large number of modules to combine and is therefore easy to expand, and it also uses a wide range of raw materials. The primary target market of this environment-conscious set of furniture is high-quality hotels but they may be used in other segments of the market.

Árkossy Bútor Kft is a Hungarian family business based in Herend. The company manufactures furniture sets as well as individual pieces of furniture. The firm is currently made up of 83 people including experts in wood engineering, wood work technicians, carpenters and other professionals representing the wood industry. The company boasts a large complex in Herend with 6,500 m² of production floor where state-of-the-art technologies are complemented with traditional expertise. The firm also has offices and showrooms in Budapest open for visitors. Árkossy Bútor regards customer satisfaction as a major aspect irrespective of the scale of space to be furnished: family homes, restaurants, offices or hotel chains.

Designer: Máté Horváth, Forms Design

Máté Horváth teamed up with Sarolta Csoma in 2018 to launch his studio entitled Forms Design. The designer participated in a mentoring programme run by the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency in the spring of 2019 referred to as “design START” which offered long-term opportunities tailor-made to individual designers. His role is a complex one including developing the complex, preparing for manufacturing, managing the project and following up the product. He believes that opportunities arising from design should be made available for everyone and his design is a proof of that conviction.
