BRAND NAME: Kas Atelier
BRAND DESCRIPTION: Atelier Kas, designed by Kata Bartis, returns to primal forms and creates meaningful handcrafted objects for modern homes. The name Kas (meaning skep/man-made beehive) is linked to home spaces, craftsmanship, and basic forms.
My inspiration comes from nature, folk art and ancient artefacts. My aim is to make something similar to a natural creation: the source-code is a perfect equation but the result is a bit imperfect, something familiar to look at and hold in your hands, much closer to human nature than the perfect manufactured forms made in factories.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: I like to make objects with spirit behind them. If you put something in your home, there is a very intimate connection. My pieces have a lot to say. They have their own language through symbols. This is where I connect to ancient art and folk art: if you listen to them or watch them carefully, you'll understand their meaning.
