Camille Tanoh
Camille Tanoh is a French-born New-York based designer, entrepreneur and artist from African descent who has been the chief executive officer of The Proper Label ™, a circular, community driven and direct-to-consumer sustainable fashion label.
He co-founded in 2018 with his sister, Sonia Tanoh. Minimalist design, designed to last, build for the conscious consumer. An approach he honed at Balenciaga under Nicolas Ghesquiere, Paul Smith and Pierre Hardy. Born to Ivorian parents, Tanoh grew up in the outskirts of Paris. He obtained his master’s degree from the French School of Communication and Journalism. Camille also seats at the board of companies as a diversity and inclusion leader. Alongside running his sustainable brand and agency, Tanoh performs under The Proper Kid ™.
