ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECTS

Hidden

Hidden explores the intersection of sustainability and contemporary design in diplomatic gastronomy, resulting in a ceramic dinner service for the Hungarian Embassy in The Hague, which not only considers aesthetic and functional aspects but also reflects environmental and cultural sustainability issues.

The design process prioritized the sustainable use of materials, the incorporation of local resources, and the creation of adaptable, long-lasting designs, promoting local mineral and medicinal water culture. The design of the ensemble evokes the rippling surfaces of various bodies of water, while the mineral waters used in the glaze experiments emphasize the natural use of materials and the value of regional resources.

The project seeks to integrate sustainability not only in the use of materials but also in diplomatic communication, as food, material culture, and sustainable design can all serve as tools for raising cultural and environmental awareness.
