EVAANNA

ABOUT THE BRAND

EVAANNA is a Hungarian metalware brand founded by Eva Anna Gulacsi. She believes that art should be an integral part of your daily life, enriching even the most routine interactions with your home. In her first collection she made cabinet knobs, handles and wall hooks in solid brass and bronze. The Pinch collection was inspired by the human touch, its soft shapes and organic textures gently stimulate our senses and serve us for a lifetime. The peculiarity of the objects is that the grains of sand and the pour ripples are visible in the finished pieces. These unpredictable details add unique character to the objects, it’s a testament to the human touch that sets them apart from mass-produced alternatives.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Éva Anna Gulácsi obtained her architectural degree at BME in 2016, then completed her metalsmith and goldsmith studies at Budai Rajziskola. She studied traditional jewelry making, but was always more interested in creating something for the home. At the end of 2023, she founded her brand called EVAANNA, which implements artistic thinking in functional objects. In the world of mass production, she finds great value in the imperfect beauty of handmade things. She aims to revive the tradition of creating functional metal objects, because she believes it's crucial to preserve traditional metalsmithing techniques and demonstrate their relevance in contemporary design.

The grains of sand and the pour ripples are visible in the finished objects, and these unpredictable details add unique character to every piece. Made with a living finish, meaning that as the objects age, they will naturally develop a darker color due to oxidation and create a beautiful patina over time.
