ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECT

Spheres Wallpaper Collection / Thermosphere

The Spheres wallpaper series presents a captivating glimpse into a parallel universe. This vivid and untarnished cosmological realm shares resemblances with our own Earth, hosting various spheres such as the Biosphere, Lithosphere, Hydrosphere, and Atmosphere. Complementing these terrestrial realms is a celestial fifth sphere, known as the Thermosphere, which forms an integral connection within this wondrous expanse. The Thermosphere wallpaper is part of the 5-piece Spheres collection manufactured and distributed by the Italian Tecnografica. The graphic works are attributed to media artist Dávid Szauder, who created the visual concept developed by freeform, with the involvement of artificial intelligence. The wallpaper depicting a coherent scene, devoid of repetitions, is printed to fit the specific wall dimensions in each case. Our concept’s leading question is how the currently available technology can be transferred into a timeless environment, and how it relates to antique and contemporary material culture.
