Inebriation in art - Guided tour
Date: 12 October (16:00)
Location: HAB, 1062 Budapest, Andrássy avenue 112.
Curious about how inebriation appears in art? Then this exhibition is for you! For the first time in Hungary, you can experience a show that takes you from Renaissance to contemporary art, giving you a glimpse of how artists have captured the ecstasy, delirium, and revelry induced by alcohol. From Dionysus to tavern scenes to anti-alcohol posters – you’ll find it all here!
Alongside Picasso, you’ll encounter major Hungarian artists like Pál Szinyei Merse, Károly Lotz, and Imre Bukta, as well as contemporary Hungarian artworks and posters created by young artists from METU on the theme of "Sober November."
Curator of the exhibition: Emese Révész
The event is open to the public.
