Kontraposzt váza
The contrapposto position is the basic posture for teaching drawing and for full-figure patterns. In figurative art, we have memories from antiquity from which this posture can be derived. It is a natural, relaxing position of the human body. In this position, the weight of the body is on one leg, the other rests, and the hip and shoulder line are in line with each other. The Kontraposzt vase takes on the structure of the contra-vertical posture, with the apexes of the hip and shoulder axes defining its shape.
