BRAND NAME: Paper Up!
BRAND DESCRIPTION: The Paper Up! objects are made of paper waste. By adding other organic components (sawdust, wood chips, cement, dust, pigment) we achieve different effects. The raw material is part paper, which complies with fire regulations and is environmentally friendly, and part cement. I'm experimenting with composite materials that are compatible with paper’s maintaining its advantages and fixing its weaknesses. Individual collections include both utility and decorative objects, from small bowls and holders to vases and pendant lamps. I perform every part of the work process, which requires constant learning of new technical skills and adequate material knowledge, and which broadens my perspective, possibility and artistic field as well. Experimentation is a very inspiring factor, which is why I create my objects in small series. Shapes and images change frequently, and material choices and solutions are unique. The final objects represent typical handicraft features and as a result have unique character.
DESIGNER NAME: Rita Koralevics
DESIGNER DESCRIPTION: Koralevics Rita graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts as a graphic artist. She lives and works in Budapest. In 2013, Rita developed her building material, paper cement pulp and founded a brand, name Paper Up!. Her creations are hand-made functional objects from recycled paper.
