The designer: Sára Kele

Sára Kele is devoted to sustainable development as a designer. Primarily, she designs furniture and objects of use, participates in interior design projects, and holds designer workshops. After graduating from BMGE as an industrial product designer, she worked at renowned studios. She created her first product almost ten years ago, which got noticed at international exhibitions, and she has been continuing her work with unbroken creativity. She makes her objects in line with decisions made based on conscious responsibility considering effects on the environment and the community, with experimental material use, always keeping in mind utility and usefulness.

The product:

The joint project of Rotte Kft. and Sára Kele is the CoTangens furniture line, the little brother of the successful Tangens furniture line designed for outdoor use. The Tangens furniture line has received numerous international awards, including the Best of the Best Award of the Red Dot Award 2021. The CoTangens product line is characterised by curved shapes, variability, mobility, and sustainability. The designer and manufacturer dedicate their work to community spaces where valuable human encounters and discussions can take place freely. In addition, the creation’s speciality is that it includes banana textile, a natural material made of banana leaves widely used by designers.
