Spring (La Lutte series)

Stepping away from the two dimensional and flat surfaces, lately he began to experiment with ceramic works too, which allowed him to explore other aspect of his interest. His search for the uncanny; the borderline of the known and the unknown manifest in bulbous ceramic effigies of the same creatures. Here they lose their recognizable features and consist of masses of the same structure. Each borrowing only one tone from the painting’s compositions, avoiding the possibility of the symbolic meaning of color, and inviting the power of the material to create unity.
