DESIGNER DESCRIPTION: Fruzsina Fülöp received her Master's Degree from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest in Ceramic Art and Design. She designed KAVICS at the request of VPI Concrete. During the design process, she created several design alternatives using manual modelling. The final alternative was used as the basis for the 1:1 model of KAVICS and the mold used for serial production of the KAVICS product.

As in the case of KAVICS, they strive for an innovative approach to public spaces through continuous experimentation. With their concrete street furniture, they are market leaders in Hungary, and their products are available in many European countries and in the US.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: KAVICS is a smooth and ergonomic concrete composition. Its design expresses the freedom of forming concrete as required by the imagination of its creators and by the needs of its users. It is the outcome of a long collaboration among sculptors, designers, and concrete experts. It has gained its final shape thanks to VPI Concrete's own special concrete mixture and unique production method. The result is the smoothness and beauty of the kavicses, the Danube pebbles, in an inspiring family of public furniture.
