What is human?

The artist investigates the layering and fusion of clay and glass debris, developing techniques to craft remarkable textures and novel glass ceramic surfaces. These artworks explore the interplay and tensions between these materials. A pliable glass enables hand shaping during processing. When using clay, the artist blends re-silted clays with glass waste, diverging from conventional surface applications. The unique experimentation lies in the complete fusion of these two silicate materials, harmonizing natural clay with one of the first man-made materials. It's a union of the natural and synthetic, addressing the tensions that arise.
