A huge success for Hungarian designers at the 2019 London Design Fair

The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA) represented Hungarian designers at the London Design Fair, a four-day industry event, held between 19-22 September. The London Design Fair welcomed visitors with an interest in design, with over 550 exhibitors from 40 countries present. London was the most sought after design destination this year, and a meeting point for over 29.000 visitors, consisting of architects, interior designers, product designer and a knowledgeable audience who all flocked to the capital from around the world to view the latest trends in furniture, lighting and textiles. The HFDA coordinated the opportunity for 11 Hungarian brands to be present at the design fair, exhibited in an eye-catching installation.

Besides the general communication aspects at the event, a new, innovative solution was also created for the exhibition: HFDA raised awareness to help strengthen B2B marketing and potential business opportunities with the usage of AR (Augmented Reality) technology, to bring the buyers closer to the brands and their products. Thanks to a downloadable application, those interested in certain products, were able to scan the various objects and texts, and where then able to view further information, such as the brand websites and short interviews with the designers.

The Hungarian pavillon was welcomed with much success, with over a hundred daily visitors, and positive feedback from both industry professionals and the international press.
