Besides knowledge transfer and newcomer support, the Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency provides an important international network by creating and supporting professional opportunities for talented Hungarian brands under the agency’s umbrella brand titled Budapest Select.
BUDAPEST SELECT is showcasing the work of 11 designers within the heart of the London Design Fair, presenting a diverse and colourful palette of Hungarian design. An important criteria during the selection process was choosing objects created with the mindset of sustainability and responsible design thinking, with installation concepts being based on environmental awareness and practicality. The selected items, comprising of objects such as traditional yet creative lamps, and textile products and ceramics will all be on display, with further items ranging from furniture utilizing plants in a unique way, to designers applying technology and innovation to their works at a new level. The harmony of the objects presented at the London Design Fair conveys the atmosphere of Budapest as it is: a city home to the scene of vibrant, bubbling, contemporary Hungarian design.
